Socionext has developed a prototype of a media edge server, the M820, which features the company’s hybrid codec technology at the annual NAB Apr. 24-27. A demonstration utilizing TeraFaces®, the face recognition software provided by Tera Probe, Inc., will be showcased at MedTec Japan Apr. 19-21.
Socionext will showcase advanced 4K HEVC codec technologies and media server solutions at the annual NAB Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center April 24-27.
Socionext introduces the SC2M50, a high-image quality HEVC codec that comes in a small 25mm x 25mm package. The low power device consumes only 3.5W, which allows the IC to be utilized in battery-operated equipment. Sample shipments will start in May 2017.
